We have a selection of cake stands available for hire if this is something which is required. You’re welcome to use the venues if one is included within your package or provide your own.

Your date will not be secured until this payment has been received and will only be held for 7 days from the date of the quote. You do not have to decide on your size, flavours or details for the cake at the time of securing, this can all be decided during your consultation.

The £100 booking fee would be deducted from the final balance which in turn would be required 4 weeks prior to the date of your wedding.

Once your date has been secured, we will look to get you booked in for your consultation around 3 months prior to your wedding date. Here we’ll chat through your cake design in more detail whilst you sample your chosen flavours.

DESIGN:

We use the reference images you provide as inspiration when creating your order. Please note that we do not create exact replicas of other bakers' designs, as we retain creative license over all designs. If there are specific elements you would like incorporated, kindly let us know when placing your order.

PRODUCT QUALITY:

Your order will be baked as close to your delivery/collection day as possible to ensure quality and freshness. We advise that all cakes be consumed within 48 hours from collection/delivery, other items will confirmed upon ordering. We cannot be held responsible for any items consumed after these timings.

PRODUCT STORAGE:

Fondant cakes should be stored at room temperature, but away from direct sunlight, radiators or other sources of heat. We do not recommend keeping fondant cakes in the fridge or somewhere cold (unless advised otherwise in your order details document) as it will not only make the fondant icing sweat, but it will also dry out the cake. For fondant covered cakes, cold temperatures will also cause condensation to form on the surface of the icing, ruins colours, pipework, edible lace and any sugar flowers or moulds.

Buttercream celebration cakes should be kept in the fridge until an hour before serving.

WEATHER

Cakes and high temperatures do not mix, it is advised that your cake is displayed in an air conditioned room where possible.  Unfortunately, we have no control over the stability of your cake and/ or décor if the temperature on the day and /or in the area and in general in which it is displayed is unusually high for the UK .

Weddings: If the weather is looking like it will be exceptionally warm on the day we will set the cake up during your drinks reception unless agreed otherwise. All naked, semi-naked and buttercream cakes are chilled overnight up until the point of leaving the unit to drive (in an air conditioned vehicle) to your venue. Once cakes have been set up to a satisfactory level we will take photographic evidence, after this time Kimmi's Cakes will not accept any liability should the weather have a negative effect on your cake.

General: If you have an event and have any concerns regarding the collection time of your order due to high temperatures, please contact us ahead of your collection date and we can look to accomodate a later collection time. Once the cake has been collected, Kimmi's Cakes accepts no liability for the stability of your cake in the event of high temperatures.

GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE & VEGAN:

Due to being produced in a kitchen that handles all named allergens, we cannot guarantee allergen free products.

REFUNDS:

Due to the bespoke and perishable nature of our products, they are non-refundable. However, if damage does occur at the irrefutable fault of the business, a partial may be given. This will be determined on an individual basis. Proof must be provided within 12 hours either in person or by way of pictorial evidence.

Should the cake incur damage whilst being transported in possession of the customer, Kimmi's Cakes will not accept liability as we will not be able to determine if the cake was transported according our guidelines, nor if a third party was involved during the incident.

Should damage occur after the cake has been collected or delivered, you must contact Kimmi's Cakes immediately (07849492575). Should the damage have incurred as a result of Kimmi's Cakes, if able, we will offer to collect, rectify the issue and return to you as soon as possible on the same day unless we can resolve in situ. If not able to assist, due to location/timings we will discuss a resolution in the first instance and a partial refund may be offered.

Should damage occur as a result of the customer, please contact us and if able we will be able to look to resolve the issue - there may be an additional charge for time and resources - this will be confirmed at the time prior to any additional work being completed.

If you contact a third party to fix any damages without first contacting Kimmi's Cakes, no compensation will be offered as this removes the opportunity for us to resolve any issues in the first instant. We will not accept liability for any additional cost incurred as a result of a customer making this decision without contacting us prior.

If you are unhappy with your order for any reason you must get in touch within 12 hours of collection/delivery - after this time no compensation will be offered.

Once the cake has been cut and served, this will signify your acceptance that the cake was fit for purpose and no compensation will be given.
